Before sending your console in, try these safe steps. Sometimes a simple cable swap, cache clear, or reset solves the issue immediately.
Unplug the power cord from both the wall and your PlayStation for 10 minutes. This lets the console completely clear its temporary memory. Then plug it directly into a wall socket instead of a multi-plug adapter.
Turn off the console completely. Hold the power button down for 7 seconds until you hear a second beep. Connect your controller with a USB cable, press the PS button, and choose 'Rebuild Database'. This fixes freezing, menu lag, and corrupted game data without deleting your games.
If your PS5 is shutting down after 30 to 45 minutes of heavy gaming, try placing it flat (horizontally). This helps the liquid metal cooling material spread evenly over the processor.
